Let's Go!

Is your dog older than 16 weeks of age?

This course is for you if:

• You want a well-mannered dog
• Your dog has behaviour problems that basic manners will help resolve (jumping up, rough play, barking, pulling, running away)
• You want to build solid foundation behaviours for your "go everywhere" dog

Your Let's Go! registration includes: the Let's Get Started Training Orientation and 6 lessons with your dog; 15 minutes of e-mail or phone support; reduced rates for private lessons and seminars. Once you have completed your 6 initial lessons you can continue to drop in to any Let's Go! class (Be Good! Come Here! or Walk Nicely!) for just $10. Let's Go! is the prerequisite for all of our advanced classes.

Our unique "levels" program allows you to participate in lessons as they fit into YOUR schedule. Attend when you want to, and focus on the skills most important to your lifestyle.

Let's Go! starts with the Let’s Get Started Orientation. At Orientation you will practice your training skills (your dog stays at home!) and we will demonstrate the exercises you will need to practice at home before attending the first lesson with your dog.

Following the Let’s Get Started Orientation, you will attend 6 lessons with your dog. Let's Go! is broken into three Levels. You will cover all three Levels, attending each Level twice for a total of 6 lessons.

• Be Good! Level 1 focuses on teaching your dog to be calm and attentive in the presence of distractions. You will learn how to keep your dog's attention in any environment, how to have the well-mannered dog you want and how to build a reliable down stay.
• Come Here! Level 2 is all about recalls! Coming when called is a life-saving behaviour for every dog. You will learn how to build and maintain a Really Reliable Recall.
• Walk Nicely! Level 3 pulls it all together: attention and staying close, to help you learn to respectfully and effectively train your dog to walk with you, maintaining a loose leash (no pulling!).

Your first two lessons with your dog will be Level 1. After that you can either attend two Level 2 classes in a row and then two Level 3 classes in a row OR you can alternate (attend a Level 2 lesson and then attend a Level 3 lesson). Your first lesson of Level 1 is scheduled (so we know how many new people to expect), but after that you can just show up to the lessons that work for you (no need to tell us when you’re coming).
