FREE Training for Foster Puppies & Foster Families
Bring your foster puppy (younger than 20 weeks of age) to Sit Happens!® for training - free of charge!
Foster puppies that are healthy, have been in foster care for more than 10 days and have had at least one set of shots are welcome to attend Puppy Playtime which runs Thursdays at 6:30 pm. Please also bring some very small (and more importantly. special) treats.
Additionally, foster families are welcome to attend the Bright Puppy Primer (with your foster puppy). The Bright Puppy Primer is held Tuesdays at 7:00 pm and Saturdays at 10:00 am. At Orientation, you will learn about all things puppy as well as how to deal with any challenges that might arise.
In between fosters or just thinking about taking on a puppy? Come out to the Primer and brush up on your training skills before the next one – or first one – joins your home!
To get started – fill out the Class Registration Form (choose Foster Dogs from the class drop down list). When we receive your form we will contact you to ensure you know when to attend class.

FREE Training for Foster Adult Dogs & Foster Families
Bring your foster adult dog (over 20 weeks of age) to Sit Happens!® for training - free of charge!
If you have an adult foster that needs some fine-tuning, you are welcome to attend the Let’s Get Started Orientation free of charge (Orientations are Wednesdays at 7:00 pm and Saturdays at 3:00 pm). At Orientation you will practice your training skills (your foster dog stays at home!) and we will demonstrate two exercises that will help your foster dog be more attentive to people and to settle down into a nice, calm down stay. If your foster dog stays with you for a number of weeks then you are welcome to continue by attending Be Good!, Come Here! or Walk Nicely! (topics offered in our Let’s Go! program). Please note that your first lesson with your foster dog will be scheduled (we will assign you a specific day and time to attend) and will be at least one week after you’ve attended Orientation as you’ll need time to practice!
